By conducting in-depth market research and analysis, you can begin to see patterns, niches, missed opportunities, and more that may help you to mold and create your brand story
Remember, in order to plan where your going, you need to know where you’ve been.
While much of the market research and analysis I’ve completed is confidential, one example I can provide is my graduate work.
While completing my graduate degree in media and communications, I conducted qualitative and quantitative research in a variety of subjects including publishing, art, popular media, and more. I also researched and wrote a thesis, The Mystery of the Vanishing Sleuth: The Representation of Nancy Drew in Cover Design from 1930 to 2016. In my thesis, I analyzed the representation of Nancy Drew in cover design in the Nancy Drew series over a 80+ year period.
The education and training I received in market research and analysis has been indispensable in my work and life. Before moving forward on any project, please make sure to do your research! And, after launching your research, be sure to analyze your results. To do otherwise may lead you down a path you don’t want to take.
